Frequently Asked Questions
What is BWR-303 grade plywood?
BWR-303 is boiling-water-resistant plywood graded to IS:303 and bonded with phenolic resin so it withstands moisture and humidity. It resists water far better than MR grade and suits kitchens, wardrobes and semi-wet interiors. Navkar's BWR-303 is borer and termite treated.
Is BWR-303 plywood waterproof?
It is highly water-resistant (boiling water resistant), ideal for humid and semi-wet areas. For fully wet or outdoor use, choose 710 marine (BWP) plywood, which is boiling-water-proof to IS:710.
What is the difference between BWR and MR plywood?
BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) withstands moisture and humidity far better than MR (Moisture Resistant), which only resists humidity — not standing water. Both are IS:303 graded, but BWR uses a stronger water-resistant phenolic adhesive.
Is Navkar BWR-303 plywood termite-proof?
Yes. The core and veneers are treated with anti-termite and borer chemicals using Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI), protecting your furniture against pest damage for a long service life.
